Sensible training shoes with a good sole (not flat trainers) , Comfortable clothing and layers for colder weather. Lightweight clothing for indoors and summer and preferably a light waterproof jacket for wet weather.
What do I need to bring with me?
If you are training outside please bring the minimum with you - keys, water bottle, a small towel and if you have one, a heart rate monitor. If you don't own a heart rate monitor Little Miss Fitness will provide you with one so we can monitor your progress ( all heart straps are washed and disenfected after each client ). Little Miss Fitness will be able to carry your keys for you if you have no pockets. If a session is at home then all equipment neccesary will be brought by your personal trainer.
Can I combine personal training sessions with nutrition sessions?
Yes, it's your decision either to have a personal training session or a nutrition session or even a combined session.
Can I share personal training sessions with a friend?
Here at Little Miss Fitness we recommend training with a friend, if you want to training with a group of up to 3 people it can be more cost effective, for more information on group training visit the group training page.
Where will our sessions take place?
Your session will take place either in your home, outdoors, the park, local swimming pool or any other locations that you choose. It's up to you to let your personal trainer know your likes and dislikes so they can cater the sessions specifically for you. We welcome clients who attend gyms and encourage it but in order to keep overheads to the minimum so we can keep our personal training prices low, we do not personal train in gyms.
What if I don't like certain exercises?
If there are any exercises you don't like or would preferre not to do then don't worry. Your personal trainers ultimate goal is to make personal training fun for you. They will not make you do any exercises you don't like to do. Instead they will encourage you to do things you like to make your sessions more enjoyable.
What happens with outdoor sessions in winter when it's dark early?
All outdoor sessions will take place where there is adequate street lighting and a risk assessment carried out. If desirable we will train indoors on winter nights. We encourage clients to wear reflective clothing whilst training outdoors. Your personal trainer will be wearing reflective bands and carries a personal alarm at all times, this alerts 3 people in the event of an emergency. A copy of the risk assessment for any areas you will be training in can be requested.
I've just had a baby, can I still exercise?
It varies from woman to women so it's essential to have a chat with us before taking personal training sessions. Some personal training sessions are also advisable to give you confidence, sort out technique and spot any weaknesses. But generally speaking, most women who have had a baby without any major complications can do most exercises within a few months. All Little Miss Fitness personal trainers are fully qualified in ante and post natal exercise.
I'm pregnant can I still exercise?
Pregnant women are very welcome we encourage it fully, so long as you were exercising before and have no known complications or problems. All our Personal Trainers are all ante/post natal trained, so we can provide you with a tailor made training programme for you to suit your schedule. We also provide ante and post natal relaxation and nutritional sessions.
If I bring my child/baby to the sessions, do you provide childcare?
No. Although we welcome babies and children to all sessions, you are responsible for them and if the session is disrupted the time is not refundable.
Do I get a discount on supplements if i'm a client?
Yes, all clients can benefit from a further 10% discount on current prices.
Can I buy Little Miss Fitness branded sportswear?
Yes, Little Miss Fitness Branded sportswear can be bought by arranging sizes, colours ect with your personal trainer.
