Do you sometimes feel that your life is on overdrive? Do you feel like you spend most of your life surrounded by machines, cars and other modern day technology. Do you get very little daylight, work long hours, exercise in a gym or can't find the excuse to get outside for some fresh air?
Our ancestors lived the outdoor life, they grew and hunted for thier own food and revolved their day around sunrise and sunset. While there is alot to be said for todays housing, running water, supermarkets and gyms and other blessings of life, we here at Little Miss Fitness feel we should get BACK TO BASICS and in touch with our wild side, by changing the way we exercise to incorporate nature at it's best.
We want to feed your desire to go all green, get in touch with nature and push your boundaries through pushing your body. We want to allow you to see the sun set while you exercise, feel the first drops of rain as it cools your warm face and feel the wind soothe you as you come join us at our outdoor workout groups. Getting into the elements is an e
motional tonic for your soul, getting back to nature is far more stimulating than artificial lights or mirrors and tvs in gyms. You are also likely to burn more calories outside with your muscles having to negotiate uneven ground as opposed to a treadmill or solid floor. When you exercise there is something about looking up into the vast expanse of sky that can really deepen the intensity and can put alot into perspective. The healing power of the sun has also been subject to many recent studies and spending just 15 minutes a day can reduce every kind of disease from breast cancer to diabetes.
Little Miss Fitness Summer Back to Basics is for everyone, so much so that we offer two intensity levels, Begginer and Intermediate. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the instructors or by reading our FAQ section.
Our first outdoor group session begins on Wednesday 19th of August at 7.30pm. Meet us at the Visitor center in Strathclyde country park. For one time only we have a special guest instructor Corporal Murphy of the Royal Marine Commando's to take the intermediate group through thier paces.
